Sex Therapy
Specializing in in-depth psychotherapy for individuals and couples seeking treatment related to sexual issues and concerns.
Emily J. Courney, LMFT has experience working with out-of-control sexual behavior, gender identity, sexual orientation, and issues related to sexual trauma. All services are LGBTQ+, KINK and POLY friendly.
Couples Therapy
Together you will disarm verbal conflict, remove barriers that create feelings of stagnancy, and create a heightened sense of empathy and understanding; This will lead to increased intimacy, respect, and affection within the context of a relationship.
Family Therapy
For children seven years and older, Emily J. Courney, LMFT works alongside the parents or guardians in order to address issues that may be arising at school or in the home. She will work with your child to enhance social skills, decrease problematic behaviors, and enhance family dynamics overall.
Emily welcomes teens and will work with them to improve functioning in school, at home, and in their daily life by increasing their self-esteem and impulse control while promoting insight to potential causes of emotional reactivity.

Emily is a dynamic and accomplished Marriage and Family Therapist with a strong foundation in academia
and experience in research. She acquired a critical understanding of sex-therapy during her time at Pepperdine University as assistant to the head of the school's Human Sexuality department.
Since graduating with her master's degree in clinical psychology, Emily has demonstrated exceptional clinical judgement honed through three years of clinical experience. She is adept at providing compassionate therapy and tailored interventions to individuals, couples, and families. Emily will create a supportive therapeutic environment while implementing effective, results-driven treatment plans to address her clients' presenting issues. Emily is dedicated to empowering clients towards healing and resilience.
